109. The Virginian Hotel II

Medicine Bow, Wyoming

September 25, 2010

A view of the hotel and of “downtown” Medicine Bow, on a quiet Saturday afternoon. On the

right of the picture is our road – the Lincoln Highway and to its right are the tracks of the

Union Pacific Railroad. The town was mostly filled with antelope hunters as the season had

just opened. However the chef of the Virginian restaurant was busy getting ready for the

University of Wyoming football fans. Although now they were all in Laramie at the football game (vs. The Air Force Academy), they would be returning through Medicine Bow for supper at The Virginian.
