Our guide, John, heads down the river. In addition to our group of Mary Bagnato, Nina McCampbell, Scott McCampbell, Susan, and me there was a young couple who came from Chicago. The water was surprisingly turbid from silt and when some of us swam in the water their skin, when it dried, was coated with this silt
