173. Bighorn Sheep

Zion National Park - October 3, 2010

We entered the park from the east on what is known as Mount Carmel Highway. We needed a permit for the RV. The road went through striking scenery from thestart including the herd of bighorn sheep that we stopped to watch. The road wasbeing worked on in most sections including the two long tunnels and then the precipitous switchbacks down to the canyon base and scenic drive. Scotty was the RV driver for this steep section of switchbacks while the rest of us marveled at the scenery (or cringed at the narrowness of the canyon road).
