192. Life in The Tin Can

Ruby's Inn RV Park - near Bryce Canyon National Park - October 5, 2010
We arrived at Bryce in a cold rain and heavy fog. Uwe, Mary, and Scotty did attempt a short hike but the ground was quite muddy and slippery. We returned to the campground, had supper in the RV, discussed the Mormon religion - a hot topic for some reason and then, due to the cold and incessant rain we went to sleep early. However - at about 2 am we were all awoken by a severe thunder and lightening storm with very heavy rain. There were several lightening strikes nearby, one which knocked out power nearby us. I was impressed that here it was 39ºF and we were getting thunder storms. The next morning due to threats in the area of continued storms and even tornadoes, we elected to head north and out of Bryce.
