At the Crystal Café we had breakfast. These two truckers were sitting next to us. Doug was younger and hailed originally from Wyoming but had settled in nearby Iowa. His friend Bob was from Iowa. “about 80 miles from here.” They both had just finished delivering beef cattle to market in South Sioux City and as they told me, when they were in this area they were regular customers of the Crystal Café. Sour cream raisin pie is a specialty of the house.
