Travel through this section of Wyoming became increasingly remote. From time to time there was no cell phone coverage or GPS direction. Here houses on the prairie were very few, with long stretches of straight road heading off and seemingly meeting the horizon. Was this what I expected to find? Yes. On this back road 75mph was slower travel then the few cars that came up and passed me. I passed many a sign with lights that stated, “when lights are flashing the road is closed.” Thankfully this was not winter when I suspected that flashing was common.
